Artistic Director, Ed Ward Fine Arts Series

Job Description

The Ed Ward Fine Arts Series (La Grange, Illinois), a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to present high-quality musical performances showcasing local musical talent as well as musicians and ensembles from the broader artistic community, seeks an artistic director to begin by January 1, 2024.  The Artistic Director provides the artistic vision for the organization and is responsible for the leadership and direction of its performance activities including planning all artistic and logistical aspects of a five- to eight-event season, selecting performers and ensembles, acting as a non-voting member of the Board of Directors, and collaborating with the Board of Directors in developing an annual artistic plan and annual budget. Qualifications:

  • Exceptional musicianship skills, with demonstrated experience.

  • Ability to successfully produce and manage musical events

  • Ability to employ team and group dynamics to work efficiently, effectively, and enthusiastically in rehearsals and as a board.

  • Ability to inspire and communicate effectively with volunteer musicians as well as professionals.
